10:00 - 10:45 | Event Starts / Morning Class #1 - Gentle Flow with Hannah
Find balance, build strength and cultivate a sense of ease in this yoga practice. This class will incorporate slow flow Vinyasa, deepening the mind-body-breath connection with gentle, yin-style poses. This will help release tension throughout the body and mind to support you to completely unwind.
11:15 - NOON | Morning Class # 2 – Pilates Sculpt with Carol
Take it up a notch with this modern twist to a classic workout. This class will focus on a variation of the Pilates mat workout using various props and light hand weights, and emphasizing alignment and proper body sculpting
12:30 - 1:15 | Lunch & Learn - Workshop #1 - Simple Rituals for Vitality & Health
Wellness Specialists and Plant-Based enthusiasts, Jered Bailey and Galen Rogerson will be talking through simple rituals that can be practiced daily to increase vitality and improve overall health. With a focus on plant-based nutrition, this workshop will cover a variety of areas including proper hydration, baseline nutrition, breathwork, sleep and more.
Lunch for purchase will be available by Grit City Greens
1:45 - 2:15 | Afternoon Class #1 – Animal Flow with Jered
Animal flow is a ground-based movement practice focusing on functional strength, flow and mobility. You will be learning patterns resembling animalistic movements while utilizing your hands and feet. Come connect with your primal strength. All you need is your body.
3:00 - 4:00 - Workshop #2 - Reducing Pain through Movement
The big question...What is chronic pain? In this workshop, we’ll address what is considered chronic pain, the common causes and areas affected, proper alignment/posture, common syndromes and movement patterns to help stretch and strengthen those areas. If you’re unaware of what’s causing the pain, a free posture assessment will be given to help uncover areas of misalignment. This workshop will be facilitated by Grit City Fitness Director Theresa Taylor and Dr. Patrick J Mcveigh a Chiropractic specialist in Kent, Washington.
4:30 - 5:15 - Afternoon Class #2 – Yoga Foundations with Brooke
Strong bodies start with a strong foundation. This class is designed for those looking to find more awareness and confidence in their practice. This is a slower-paced class that focuses on body awareness, pranayama (breath), mindfulness and flexibility. This class will reinforce alignment and cultivate experience in poses to build a solid foundation for practice.
